Headquartered in South Pasadena, California, Total Education Solutions (TES) is a privately held company founded in 1997 by Dr. Nancy J. Lavelle. Dr. Lavelle also founded the nationally recognized, non-profit, Institute for the Redesign of Learning (IRL) in 1974.
From its early start as a consulting company to California charter schools, we rapidly expanded our services to include special education management and administration; general and special education staffing; the provision of specialized programs in Counseling, School Nursing, and Behavior Support Services; Supplemental Educational Services; and Professional Development. We also operate multidisciplinary clinics at five locations in California, Michigan, and Ohio. In person and online, we are proud to serve thousands of eligible children and adults at hundreds of public, charter, and private school sites, as well as group homes in California, Michigan, and Ohio.
Under the auspices of IRL, The Almansor Center, also managed by TES, offers early education services, early intervention to Head Start, a special education non-public school, mental health clinics, and vocational and job placement services to over 2,000 children and adults with special needs in eight facilities in South Pasadena and the City of Commerce; on 40 public school sites; and in 270 Head Start classrooms in Southern California.
