    What is the purpose of TES’ educational, behavioral, and clinical support services?

    Families that require services through TES are usually looking for an agency that will individualize an education, therapy, or behavior program for their child. TES fosters the abilities already present in a child with exceptional needs, while helping the child master new skills. Through the use of individualized education or therapy plans and behavior intervention programs, the team works with schools and families to ensure consistent, quality care.

    What educational, behavioral, and clinical support services does TES offer for my child?

    Our Occupational, Speech, Intensive Academic, or Behavioral Specialists provide one-to-one or small group therapy, academic remediation or behavioral support in the school, home, or clinic setting. Under the guidance of a case supervisor, a trained specialist is responsible for implementing therapy, academic supports, and/or behavioral strategies.

    What specialized therapeutic approaches will you use with my child?

    As indicated by the child’s education, therapy, or behavior plan, the specialist assists the
    client to improve the following skills:
    Academic; Fine and gross motor; Neurological integration; Communication;
    Social; Play; Motor skills; Self-help; School readiness; and Self-management

    How will you measure my child’s progress?

    Once a child enrolls with TES, initial observations and assessments are completed to assist in the creation of an education, therapy, or treatment plan. Each plan establishes specific goals based on areas of need or weakness and provides individualized strategies in order to meet each goal. Through on-going observation and data collection, a team monitors goal progress and determines program modifications which allow each student the opportunity to experience success. Every four months, or as needed, a progress report is completed and sent to all necessary parties.

    What is my role as a parent?

    TES recognizes that each child has unique needs and is fully committed to the success of the child. Our education and behavior teams are passionate and dedicated to the field of special education and positive behavior support. We encourage parent collaboration and participation in homework activities or in behavior sessions to ensure maximum growth.

    How do you supervise the specialists or therapists who will be working with my child?

    On-going supervision is provided by Clinical or Behavior Supervisors, who have at least a master’s degree and experience with exceptional needs of children. Supervisors provide direct support to the specialist, parent, and school. They serve as the case manager and represent the agency at IEP meetings.
