TES provides related services in school and home settings. In addition, TES operates clinics where parents can bring their children for individual or small group therapy or intensive academic instruction.

Language and Speech Therapy:
TES provides speech and language services in both the individual and group settings. Licensed Speech Pathologists or state certified Speech and Language Specialists assess each student’s needs, create and service goals as part of the IEP process, and consult with general education staff and parents on therapeutic goals.

Occupational Therapy:
TES provides an array of occupational therapy services to infants through adolescents through the use of various treatment approaches, including Sensory Integration (SI), Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT), Developmental Approach, Motor Learning, and Assistive Technology. The goal of TES occupational therapy services is to identify childrens' strengths and build upon them to enhance function and independence in their everyday life activities.

Physical Therapy:
TES provides a variety of physical therapy services to help children improve mobility, gait, muscular-skeletal conditions, motor coordination, seating and positioning, posture, strength, endurance, balance, range of motion, and overall quality of movement to facilitate enhanced function and independence. This is accomplished through play-based interventions that incorporate stretching, mobilization, and massage as a means of improving and preventing injuries, deformities, and contractures.

School Nursing:
Our nurses are available to fulfill a variety of school based needs. Primarily, we perform health assessments formally required to complete the special education process. By interviewing parents and reviewing medical history, our nurses provide IEP teams with medically related information that relates to the formulation of the educational plan.

School Social Workers/School Counselors:
TES supports students' social-emotional development by offering a variety of behavior support and counseling services to individual students. TES consults with schools on the implementation of positive behavior intervention strategies. Our school social workers and school counselors are trained to use a wrap-around-approach, involving parents, school personnel, and outside agencies, when dealing with children and school issues. Our goal is to head off problems before they escalate with a variety techniques such as ecological assessments, counseling, social skills training, positive peer mentoring, behavior intervention plans, etc. School Counselors also offer guidance in preparing students to exit high school and providing the student guidance and information regarding post-secondary options such as work, vocational training, or higher education. |
School Psychologists:
TES school psychologists primarily assess students to determine eligibility for special education services. The assessments probe for discrepancies between cognitive and academic abilities. In addition, our school psychologists can assess for overall academic aptitude for matriculation into a gifted program.
TES school psychologists consult with school staff on the implementation of Response to Intervention (RTI) as well as preparing for a Student Study Team or Intervention Assistance Meeting.

Intensive Academic Instruction:
TES provides an array of intensive educational instruction services, including one to one academic support as well as specific educational strategies. Trained Resource Specialists will assess the student’s needs and use goals dictated in the IEP to address academic needs and strengthen skills.
