Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, school reopening plans still remain up in the air. One way to help alleviate some of this uncertainty has come in the form of learning pods.
Learning pods, micro-schools, or pandemic pods are forming across the United States as a way to alleviate the pressure on parents for the upcoming Fall school semester. Small groups of children are clustered together and taught by one person. It is basically a small, one-room classroom of same or mixed aged children. Families are banding together to hire specialists to help their children with their remote learning material. This type of pod education will help the families by allowing parents and caregivers to attend to their jobs and other commitments while adhering to the local requirements for minimizing risk of exposure.
