TES provides an array of Psychological services to clients of all ages within a variety of settings.
Our highly trained, psychologists and master’s level clinical counselors meet with clients of all ages to provide psycho-diagnostic assessments as well as behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapeutic services to meet the needs of clients of all ages and their caregivers.
For parents seeking Psychological treatment, our psychologists, in conjunction with the developmental team at TES, will meet with you and your child to develop an individually tailored battery of tests that provide a high quality and comprehensive assessment. Assessments are individually tailored to answer a question or questions about each child, such as, diagnostic questions, questions about the child’s pattern of skill strengths and weaknesses and how those might help to explain the difficulties the child is having, questions about whether the child is behaving in ways that are normal vs. abnormal for their age, and also questions about the reasons/function of the child’s behavior. A full psychological evaluation typically includes an in-depth clinical interview in addition to tests of ability/intelligence, academic achievement tests, development, and/or social/emotional concerns. Specific diagnostic assessments including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-II (ADOS-II) may also be used.
For School Based student needs, our PPS School Psychologists and Schools Counselors work closely with the IEP team to assess and make recommendations based on a battery of tests carefully chosen to meet the specific needs of each student. Additionally, the psychologists at TES specialize in providing comprehensive Independent Educational Evaluation (IEEs) that help both the school and family better understand and address the needs of the students.
Our clinical staff are trained to help clients and their families by using a variety of developmentally appropriate and evidence-based therapeutic techniques grounded in behavioral and cognitive behavioral theories. Additionally, parent consultation and therapeutic services are available to provide support for parents of children with special needs.
In order to provide the best evidence-based assessment and treatment, the psychology team works collaboratively with parents and caregivers, school administrators, teachers and other therapists. Having a team of independent experts at TES, including pediatric and school psychologists, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and board-certified behavior analysts, allows for a clear picture of the client to emerge including providing individualized and specific recommendations based on current best practices.
